Mont Ventoux

Mont Ventoux, nicknamed the Giant of Provence, is one of France's most emblematic peaks. Dominating the Vaucluse landscape at an altitude of 1,912 metres, this majestic mountain is much more than just a mountain: it's a symbol, a sporting challenge, and a place rich in biodiversity.
Mont Ventoux offers spectacular views stretching for hundreds of kilometres on a clear day. It is a myth for cyclists the world over, often included on the route of the Tour de France.
Mont Ventoux is accessible all year round, although some roads may be closed in winter due to snow. The three main access routes leave from Bédoin, Malaucène and Sault. Car parks are available at the foot and halfway up the mountain for visitors wishing to go hiking or on an excursion.
