Our history
A veritable institution at the top of the Col de Propiac-les-Bains, Le Plantevin has been welcoming visitors since 1850, when Léonie and Casimir Plantevin decided to replace the traditional straw mattresses with woollen ones, transforming the family bastide into an inn for spa visitors and passing travellers. Since then, Marie Plantevin and her husband Marius Auguste, Germain Auguste, Paul Auguste and Paule Reynaud, Françoise Auguste ... have followed in their footsteps, gradually setting aside their agricultural and wine-making activities to make Le Plantevin what it is today.
Since 2009, drawing on the experience I gained abroad, my wife Nathalie Auguste and I have had the pleasure of continuing the family tradition that is so firmly rooted in this beautiful region.
Like our predecessors, we want to be as close to the land as possible, and this commitment is reflected in our eco-tourism approach, with the utmost respect for the environment.

Our charging points
Charge your electric car with Shell Recharge
We understand the importance of sustainable mobility and want to make it easier for you to travel by electric car. Our charging points are available to provide you with a fast, reliable and convenient recharging solution. While you relax in our hotel or enjoy a delicious meal in our restaurant, your vehicle is safely recharged.
How do I use our charging points?
- 1. Park: Park your electric car in one of the spaces reserved for recharging (Car Park 2).
- 2. Plug in: Connect your vehicle to the Shell Recharge station.
- 3. Recharge: Follow the on-screen instructions to start recharging. You can follow the charging progress on the Shell Recharge application or directly on the charging station screen.
